ETA United Kingdom
FAQ
Quick answers about the UK ETA and our private assistance service.
What is a UK ETA?
The Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) is a UK government digital permission required for eligible travellers before travelling to the United Kingdom for short stays, tourism, business or transit, depending on nationality rules.
Who needs a UK ETA?
Travellers from eligible countries who do not need a visa for short visits may need an ETA. Requirements depend on nationality and travel purpose. Always check official UK guidance for your situation.
How long is an ETA valid?
Validity depends on current UK rules (often up to two years or until passport expiry, whichever is sooner, with multiple entries). Confirm the latest official conditions after approval.
What documents do I need?
A valid passport, a clear photo of the biometric page, a face photo meeting the requirements, and accurate personal and travel information. Minors may need parental responsibility details.
How long does processing take?
Many applications receive a response quickly, but times vary. Priority review by our team helps reduce errors before submission. Government processing times are outside our control.
Does an ETA guarantee entry to the UK?
No. An ETA allows you to travel to the UK border. Final admission remains at the discretion of Border Force officers.
What payment methods do you accept?
Secure card payments via Stripe, including major cards. Apple Pay / Google Pay may be available depending on your device and bank.
Can I get a refund?
See our Refund Policy and use the refund request form. Refunds are possible in limited cases (duplicate charge, cancellation before processing). Once processing or official submission has started, fees are generally non-refundable.
